An interview with Rabbi Simcha Pearlmutter in 1989 where he explains the history of Ir Ovot, how Gentiles join Israel via the example of Ruth, and calls all Jews to return home to the Land of Israel in fulfillment of destiny and prophecy.

Rabbi Simcha Pearlmutter was an orthodox Jewish rabbi who came to know Yeshua as the Mashiach on his own, without contacting Christians, or even reading Matthew-Revelation. He set out to disprove Yeshua, only to find Yeshua pursuing him, and this through his studies in the Torah, and in Jewish literature, and more importantly in the siddurim and machzorim – the prayers composed by our Sages speaking of Yeshua. He came to believe, as he reports also that other rabbis who visited him in his 25 years in the desert of Israel also believe: that Yeshua is the Mashaich, the Mashiach HaShem.

He went home to be with the L-rd in 1999, and was a man who was ahead of his time. He saw something that only our generation is beginning to see: a teshuvah of both Christians and Jews to Torah, and to each other as one people: Israel.

A common dispute some raise is over the interpretation of Psalm 22:17 as quoted by Matthew. 27:41-43.

The verse in Psalms (Tehillim) says:

Tehillim 22:17
כי סבבוני כלבים עדת מרעים הקיפוני כארי ידי ורגלי

According to the Jewish Publication Society bible the verse is translated:

Psalms 22:16 (22:17) For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me; like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet. (JPS)

כארי = Like (a) lion

According to the King James Version bible the verse is translated:

Psalms 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Which is correct? They both are depending on what you’re looking at.

A well known Messianic blog posted: The Lion Dug The Nail Into My Hand? and argues that the yod of כארי is actually a vav ו thus becoming כארו (the root being כרה) according to the manuscript evidence in the photo above, and according to corresponding translations of the verse in existence at the time (1st century and before).

I made a comment there which I wanted to share here:

The LXX translators translated “כרה” as ωρυξαν which into English means “dug through” yet the concept is amplified by other texts such as the Syriac version which means “pierced” in English. Targum Jonathan renders the word in Psalms 22 as “נכתין” which means “biting” – again emphasizing on the sharp intent for the concept “dug through.”

The correct word for pierced – as in by a sharp instrument is “דקר.”

That Zechariah 12:10 speaking of messianic days uses the more explicit “דקר” which does mean “pierced through” as in by stabbing, shows that the concept of a pierced messiah is understood from Torah.

Of course, I like to bring any all arguments concerning Mashiach to the Torah. And as always, the Torah clarifies the answer (as to whether or not Messiah is to be pierced). For the Pslamist – if this is in fact is a messianic passage – can neither add or subtract from the Torah concerning Mashiach. I came across this when doing a daily reading some time ago in Torah, and I wanted to share this:

Gen 25:31

Look for “יעקב מכרה”

yaa’kov. akov = heel. yod in front is what? a reference to yad – hand.

Thus

יעקב מכרה

י hand
עקב heel
מ (stands for) mashiach
כרה pierced.

The rest of the verse is a remez to various verses in Torah about Mashiach: Edom (verse before) “his coming from Edom,” heel “strike the heel,” and even “bikkur” – firstfruit, of which Abel offered up.

Furthermore “micrah” to sell, which without vowels we can see “m’ carah”references the selling of Messiah, again another remez back to Joseph – but this is another topic.

In conclusion, the wooden literal translation of כארי does not mean to “pierce,” and does mean “like a lion,” but “כרה” taken from Gen 25:31 does mean dig, as in to dig into the hand, and in the above example: to dig into the hand and heel of Mashiach. Thus we see from Torah that the hand and heel of Mashiach are dug into or pierced.

So depending on which tradition you hang on to, you will see either ari or carah – lion or dig or even both if you’re open to including in your research the totality of the evidence. Yet according to the Torah, you will see Mashiach’s hands and feet pierced.

(Syriac and Targum source: http://parshanuth.wordpress.com/2009/12/11/textual-critique-psalms-2216/)

A fellow writer was inspired to post a follow up article here: Is Jesus the Pierced Messiah Predicted by Zachariah?

I was once asked by an orthodox rabbi:

“provide a verse which says that Messiah will be sinless”

I showed him Numbers 19:2:

This is the statute of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying: Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer, faultless, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.

The teaching concerning the red heifer, in how it must be spotless, without blemish. Totally red, to teach us that the red heifer is like Adam when he was first created, pure, without the blemish of sin. It’s a heifer, a female cow, a reference to the virgin Woman the mother of the Seed – that is Messiah, and a cow in reference to the sin of the golden calf (idolatry which causes death). That Moshe prepared it, teaches us that Mashiach will prepare it, even more so as it relates to him in every way – in that it is an identity placed upon him – essentially preparing himself (without blemish) to take on this identity (Son of Adam, of the Woman, idol worshipper). It’s a total willing imputation of our sin upon it. It is then taken outside the camp to its death (on Mt. of Olives in later times). With cedar for his strength (and the cross beam), hyssop for his humility (and what he drank from)…scarlet wool for his death (and the blood stained robe like Joseph’s), burned in the fire (of judgment), and whose remaining ashes (that which survives judgment) purify from contamination with death caused by our sin. The connections are all over the place. Where do you want to start? How about you tell me? Where in Torah do we even learn what Mashiach is?

His response was:

“Where in heavens name do you derive from Tanach that the Red Heffer is a symbol of the messiah?”

My response:

Not even Solomon in his wisdom understood the Red Heifer, so I doubt it was expounded upon outside of Joshua through 2nd Chronicles, but I am certainly keeping my eyes open. It was a chukat, a decree with no explanation in Torah. How does one see the red heifer as referring to Mashiach? After the fact. Much like one can’t even draw near to HaShem in the Tabernacle until after the ashes have first been sprinkled on him. The heifer serves as a chukat on the identifiable attributes of Mashiach. It doesn’t mean he is his mother, or that he’s Adam. That’s the point – these are identifications of who and what was imputed to him by decree alone by G-d (just as the red heifer is a decree!): he represents Adam, and the Woman. He suffers their penalty of death, and what remains of him from the fire (that is pure, ie, his resurrection in incorruptible flesh) is what then allows those contaminated with death to draw near to G-d, the source of life, as they too are now covered in his identity (and thus inherit his perfect merit which the Torah promises leads to eternal life) and thus can draw near to G-d even in the flesh without fear of getting fried by His holiness.

A timeline of preparations for Pesach 2011 – 5771. All times are for a congregation in Evergreen, Colorado. Meal notes are for the congregation. Please consult your local times for sunset and adjust accordingly.

February 20th or there about, begin to adjust your consumption and purchasing of processed foods. This will minimize the amount of products containing or potentially containing chametz that will need to be consumed or disposed of by Pesach. If you have any questions or concerns about what products to look out for a brief survey and set of definitions are provided at the end of this document.

March 18th or there about, begin to clean your home (bedrooms and remote areas away from your kitchen), work spaces, cars, brief cases, purses, etc. removing all chametz. (Chametz is any product that contains or may contain wheat, barley, oats, spelt, or rye that has or may have fermented. The only way to know is for packaged and processed foods to see that it is certified kosher for Pesach.) As it may not be in our possession according to scripture, we will need to remove all food crumbs, beverages etc. that may be in the furniture, under the furniture, etc. Make sure food does not re-enter those rooms by keeping a strict “eat in the kitchen only” policy and keeping a checklist of rooms “cleaned” so you don‟t have to re-clean them. This will also require making sure crumbs do not leave the kitchen in clothes, beards, on hands, etc.

April 14th, 15th, and 17th kosher the kitchen for Pesach. Prepare to change out your dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc or kasher the ones you have (note glass, glazed, ceramic, china, dishware, cookware, and utensils cannot be kashered for Pesach). Paper plates, plastic utensils, and disposable aluminum cookware are often used if you do not have Pesach dish and cookware. Don‟t forget about kashering the sink, stove, counter tops, microwave, and oven for Pesach. Dishwashers cannot generally be kashered for Pesach. Toasters, toaster ovens cannot be koshered for Pesach. For other appliances consult your local orthodox rabbi.

Be sure to have dishtowels, pot holders, oven mitts, a 72+ hour candle, matzah (kosher for Pesach matzah), dishwashing sponges or wipes, etc. set aside for Pesach only use.

April 17th – Sunday

Sunday evening, about 8:15 pm, do your final search (ritual search) for chametz, do the blessing but do not do nullification of chametz at this time.

April 18th – Monday

If you are a first born son or the father of a first born son younger than bar Mitzvah you must do the fast of the first born. That is done on this day. It is a short fast, from sunrise to sunset. Fast begins at 4:53am and ends at 7:42pm

April 18th – Monday (While this is not a Shabbat, it is customary to take most if not all of this day off for preparation for the seder.)

The final time for eating chametz is 10:46am.

Sell or burn all remaining chametz. This should be completed by 11:53am. At that time recite the passage declaring all chametz in our possession to be null and void.

Earliest Minchah 1:33pm Note the order of the Pesach offering will be recited after Minchah but before sunset. Also include Eruv Tavshilin so that food may be prepared on the festival Shabbat.

We have heard about the precious Blood of Messiah and how it washes away our sins. Songs have been written telling us of the power in the Blood. Volumes have been written on the preeminence of the Blood. From the Genesis account where man was first clothed with the skin of a beast by the hand of the Creator, to the ten thousand times ten thousand in the book of Revelation saying, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain,” there is no escaping the theme of the Blood that runs throughout the whole of scripture. As Andrew Murray has stated, “there is no single scriptural idea, from Genesis to Revelation, more constantly and more prominently kept in view, than that expressed by the words – ‘The Blood’”. In this brief article, I want to touch on this inexhaustible subject of the Blood of our Savior, what makes it so precious and why it has a power as infinite as the One who shed it.

THE EVERLASTING REQUIREMENT

A bedrock scripture to this topic is found in Leviticus where it is stated;

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.
[Leviticus 17:11]

And in the apostolic writings, we read;

…and without shedding of blood is no remission.
[Hebrews 9:22b]

No where in scripture can we find where this requirement has ever changed, yet something happened 2,000 years ago that did change, and that is man’s ability to fulfill this requirement as prescribed. The very center of the Hebrew faith fell out altogether when the Temple was destroyed and the priesthood along with all of Israel was scattered. Without a Temple, a priesthood and the proper sacrifices it is impossible to observe the Torah commands required for the forgiveness of sin.

We are left with only two possible choices:
1. HaShem still requires all those sacrifices and yet He has taken away the ability to do them, meaning that everybody is in very big trouble.
2. HaShem has done something new and revolutionary. He has completed the old and brought about something new. He has at last brought to fullness the sacrifices which were only meant to be shadows of the suffering servant, Mashiach ben Yosef.

SHADOWS FROM GENESIS AND THROUGHOUT

A universal practice of blood atonement and a substitute sacrifice for wrong doing appears to have been an innate belief mysteriously built into the psyche of every tribe and nation known to man. Like the artifacts of various ancient civilizations that show a common thread that leads back to the story of a catastrophic world wide flood, the idea that men can somehow atone for their sins, or perhaps “appease the gods” as it were, by the shedding of blood, is yet another witness that speaks of mankind’s common ancestry.

The theme of blood and a substitute sacrifice begins in Genesis when HaShem took the life of an innocent animal to clothe man and woman with “coats of skins” [Genesis 3:21]. The price of sin was death; the death of an innocent life. This surely made an impression on the hearts of our first parents and the fact that this understanding was passed on to their children is evident in the account of Abel and his offering in the next chapter where we are told that HaShem had “respect unto Abel and his offering” [Genesis 4:4]. Why was the Blood of this lamb pleasing to HaShem? What did Abel understand about choosing the finest of the flock for a sacrifice?

Again, in the account of Abraham and Isaac on Mt. Moriah, we see the hint of the theme of Blood atonement and substitution. The ram caught in the thicket is sacrificed in place of Isaac and in fact, all of Israel in his loins yet to be born [Genesis 22:13]. Again, in the account of the Exodus, the specification of taking “a lamb without blemish” in chapter 12:5 speaks of a perfect sacrifice and once again, we see the nation of Israel saved by Blood atonement and substitution. In this Exodus account, we also see the element of personal application. Only the household that personally applied the Blood was spared the loss of their firstborn [Exodus 12:22-23]. We have to take the Blood for ourselves. It’s up to each of us what we personally do with the Lamb that HaShem provides.
Like book ends, substitutionary Blood atonement marks the beginning and the ending of the annual cycle; the Passover Lamb in the spring and the two goats of Yom Kippur as well as the seventy bulls at Sukkot in the fall. In fact, the morning and evening sacrifices of “two lambs of the first year day by day continually” [Exodus 29:38-39] served as a constant reminder of the necessity of the Blood atonement.
Abel choosing the finest, the Passover lamb without spot or blemish, and lambs of the first year all speak to us of a precious and perfect sacrifice. But the blood of animals was merely a type and shadow of the coming One to be sacrificed.

NOTHING LESS THAN A PERFECT SACRIFICE

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own Blood He entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats , and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh; how much more shall the Blood of Messiah who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to Elohim, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim.
[Hebrews 9:12-14]

Yet it pleased HaShem to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief: when You shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of HaShem shall prosper in His hand.
[Isaiah 53:10]

Only a perfect sacrifice will do. The blood can not save you unless it is shed from a perfect sacrifice. Remember, the life is in the blood, and like produces like. It is amazing to see how the sins of the fathers pass to the sons and daughters. Environment does play a part in how children turn out, but studies have proven remarkably much is simply in the genes. Sin is in our DNA. It is also a well known scientific fact that our blood type is determined by our father. Some would have us believe that the Messiah is not the unique and divine Son, but merely the Son of Joseph (or the son of King David by a sperm preserved miraculously then implanted in Miryam’s womb as I have recently heard in a new twist of heresy). Both King David and Joseph inherited the disease of a sin nature from the blood line of Adam, so how then would Y’shua be free of our Adamic disease and be a perfect offering for sin? Consider this as well; scripture is clear on the point that no mere man can pay for the sins of another.

None can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to Elohim a ransom for him: For the redemption of their soul is precious and it ceases forever: That he should still live forever, and not see corruption.
[Psalm 49:7-9]

As Abraham told Isaac, “HaShem will provide Himself the Lamb” [Genesis 22:8] not an angel, as Jehovah’s Witnesses teach, and not just a mere man as NCCI, The Way International, Unity and many others teach, but HaShem Himself. How else would the sacrifice be perfect? That is the ONLY way it could ever work.

PESHITTA ON THE BLOOD

The Peshitta, (the original Aramaic Brit Chadashah) tells it plainly concerning the precious Blood of Y’shua. “MarYah” is the Aramaic equivalent to The Divine Name in Hebrew and is used over 30 times in direct reference to Y’shua. (see my teaching on UNEQUIVOCAL EVIDENCE IN THE ARAMAIC PESHITTA or go to www.aramaicnt.com)

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of MarYah unworthily, shall be guilty of the Body and Blood of MarYah.
[I Cor. 11:27]

…to feed the church of Elohim, which He has purchased with His Own Blood.
[Acts 20:28]

The commandment to us not to eat the blood of a creature in Leviticus 17:14 is key to understanding John 6:53 where Y’shua gives us one of His hardest words causing many to no longer follow Him.

Timeless Truth I tell you, except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His Blood, you have no life in you.
[John 6:53]

This is a divine declaration. He is telling us who He is and that He doesn’t want us to feed upon any other life, for there is no life apart from the True. We are not to whore with other so-called “Elohim” but feed upon Him who is the Lamb, the True Bread from heaven.

LIQUID INTO SPIRIT

Clearly, HaShem requires the Blood to cleanse us from sin. We are also somehow to feed upon that Blood for it is life eternal to those who will drink. What does all of this mean in tangible terms? How do we apply the Blood? How do we drink it? How does HaShem get the Blood to us?
To modern Torah-only Hebrews and Jewish ears, it is considered barbaric to need blood. It is a foreign thing to them and yet nothing is so totally Hebrew than being saved by the Blood. The fact that it seems strange to their ears is testimony that Y’shua is the Messiah because it is only since He came that the offerings stopped. If Y’shua had not been the promised Messiah, the prophecy in Daniel would not have come to pass, the offerings would have continued and Blood atonement would have remained very familiar to Hebrew/Jewish ears. The prophet Daniel spoke of the day when Messiah would come, that He would be killed, bringing the final atonement and everlasting righteousness, sacrifices would cease, and the Temple would be destroyed (Daniel 9:24-26).

So shall He sprinkle many nations…
[Isaiah 52:15a]

In this verse, Isaiah uses a word found in Leviticus concerning the duties of the High Priest. The priest would sprinkle/nazah the blood and here it says Messiah will sprinkle/nazah many nations. How is this done?

How many walked away from Y’shua when He told them they must eat His flesh and drink His Blood to obtain eternal life (John 6:54). This was a hard word, but Y’shua gave the understanding;

It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.
[John 6:63]

The life of a creature is in the blood…
[Leviticus 17:11]

At Golgotha, the creature was the Lamb of Yah, MarYah made flesh, and His life was shed upon the world to atone for the sin of every man. HaShem has taken the sacrifice outside the Temple walls to sprinkle many nations. The liquid is Spirit and it is the Life of HaShem Himself poured out.

Blood = Spirit = Life

Now, look at this:

How much more shall the Blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to Elohim…
[Hebrews 9:14a]

The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening Spirit….The first man was of the earth, earthy: the second man is MarYah from Heaven.
[I Cor. 15:45 & 47]

He whose origin is from days of eternity (Micah 5:2), the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Rev.13:8), He whom the Father had prepared a Body for (Hebrews 10:5 & Psalm 40:6), the Seed of the woman (Genesis 3:15) became our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizadek (Hebrews 5:5-6), the perfect One, to sacrifice Himself (Hebrews 9:26) by the shedding of His one of a kind precious Blood; the last Adam shedding the very blood of HaShem for the sins of us all. How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation (Hebrews 2:3)? The Blood of Messiah is the Blood, the Spirit, the Life of HaShem…a power beyond any sin, so great is its cleansing flow.
No amount of books or songs could ever be enough to express the awesome wonder of His love for us, to sprinkle many nations with His Blood, His Spirit, His Life that saves us, restores us to a right relationship, and makes all things new.

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s power in the Blood, power in the Blood
You can of Satan a victory win
Because there’s wonderful power in the Blood

Are you washed in the Blood?
In the soul cleansing Blood of the Lamb
Are your garments spotless, are they white as snow
Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb?

It will never lose its power…..

ELS (Equadistant-letter-sequence) ON THE BLOOD

In the phrase, “the voice of your brother’s blood”/ “kol d’mai achkah” in Genesis 4:9-10, there is an ELS starting with the Mem in d’mai counting every 7th letter; it spells “Mashiach em’met”/ “Messiah the Truth.”

In Leviticus 20:27 concerning people who sin by divination, starting with the first Dalet counting every 7th letter from left to right spells “dam Y’shua”/ “the Blood of Y’shua.”

And he that is the high priest among his brothers, upon whom the oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes; neither shall he go into any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his Elohim; for the crown of the anointing oil of his Elohim is upon him: I Am HaShem.
[Lev.21:10-12]

In this passage, counting from right to left every 3rd letter, starting with the first Heh spells “hain dam Y’shua”/ “Behold the Blood of Y’shua.”

“Ha’miqreh Y’shua”/ “the event of Y’shua” is a 77 letter count starting with the first Heh in Leviticus 17:1 with “moreh, teacher of righteousness; early rain” in the adjacent letters to Y’shua’s name.

A series of questions that appear to refute the claim that the Noachide laws were the only Torah given to mankind before Mt. Sinai by listing the scriptural and Jewish references to the Torah as existing before the Flood, let alone Mt. Sinai.

The aim of this article is present a series of questions that refute the claim that the Noachide laws were the only Torah given to mankind before Mt. Sinai by listing the scriptural and Jewish references to the Torah existing before Mt. Sinai. If you know of other references, please reply to this post below.

Hosea 6:7
Like Adam, they (Israel) have broken the covenant— they were unfaithful to me there.

Question: What Covenant did Israel break that Hosea says that Adam did too?

Exodus 34:28
So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Words.

Deuteronomy 29:1
These are the words of the covenant which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which He had made with them at Horeb.

Gen 2:15 Targum Pseudo-Jonathan
And the Lord God took the man from the mountain of worship, where he had been created, and made him dwell in the garden of Eden, to do service in the Torah, and to keep its commandments.

Gen 2:15 Jerusalem Targum
And the Lord God took the man, and made him dwell in the garden of Eden; and set him to do service in the Torah, and to keep it.

Gen 3:15 Targum Pseudo-Jonathan
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between the seed of thy son, and the seed of her sons; and it shall be when the sons of the woman keep the commandments of the Torah, they will be prepared to smite thee upon thy head; but when they forsake the commandments of the Torah, thou wilt be ready to wound them in their heel. Nevertheless for them there shall be a medicine, but for thee there will be no medicine; and they shall make a remedy for the heel in the days of the King Meshiha.

Gen 3:15 Jerusalem Targum
And it shall be when the sons of the woman consider the Torah, and perform (its) instructions, they will be prepared to smite thee on thy head to kill thee; and when the sons of the woman forsake the commandment of the Torah, and perform not (its) instructions, thou wilt be ready to wound them in their heel, and hurt them. Nevertheless there shall be a medicine for the sons of the woman, but for thee, serpent, there shall be no medicine: but it is to be that for these there shall be a remedy for the heel in the days of the king Meshiha.

Point: “The commandment” refers to the Shema which is considered one commandment. See the article The Torah is One Commandment

Gen 3:23 Targum Pseudo-Jonathan
Before He had created the world, He created the Torah; He prepared the garden of Eden for the righteous, that they might eat and delight themselves with the fruit of the tree; because they would have practised in their lives the doctrine of the Torah in this world, and have maintained the commandments: (but) he prepared Gehinnam for the wicked, which is like the sharp, consuming sword of two edges; in the midst of it He hath prepared flakes of fire and burning coals for the judgment of the wicked who rebelled in their life against the doctrine of the Torah. To serve the Torah is better than (to eat of) the fruit of the tree of life, (the Torah) which the Word of the Lord prepared, that man in keeping it might continue, and walk in the paths of the way of life in the world to come.

Gen 3:23 Jerusalem Targum
Two thousand years before He had created the world, He created the Torah, and prepared Gehinnam and the garden of Eden. He prepared the garden of Eden for the righteous, that they should eat, and delight themselves with the fruit of the tree, because they had kept the commandments of the Torah in this world. For the wicked He prepared Gehinnam, which is like the sharp, consuming sword with two edges. He prepared in the depth of it flakes of fire and burning coals for the wicked, for their punishment for ever in the world to come, who have not kept the commandment of the Torah in this world. For the Torah is the tree of life; whoever keepeth it in this life liveth and subsisteth as the tree of life. The Torah is good to keep in this world, as the fruit of the tree of life in the world that cometh.

Gen 4:3-4
3 So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the LORD of the fruit of the ground.
4  Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of  their fat portions And the LORD had regard for Abel and for his  offering;
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “(G)Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
7 “If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”

Question: By what Torah does Cain know how to “do well” in regards to offering the fruit of the ground?

Question: By what Torah is Abel’s offering of the “firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions” regarded by HaShem?

Gen 4:7 Targum Pseudo-Jonathan
And the Lord said to Kain, Why hast thou anger, and why are the features of thy face downcast? If thou doest thy work well, will not thy guilt be forgiven thee? But if thou doest not thy work well in this world, thy sin is retained unto the day of the great judgment, and at the doors of thy heart lieth thy sin. And into thy hand have I delivered the power over evil passion, and unto thee shall be the inclination thereof, that thou mayest have authority over it to become righteous, or to sin.

Question: By what Torah is Cain’s sin defined by?

Gen 4:8
Habel answered and said to Kain, In goodness was the world created, and according to the fruit of good works is it governed; and there is no respect of persons in judgment; but because the fruits of my works were better than thine, my oblation, before thine, hath been accepted with good will.

Question: What are these good works, and how are they defined according to the Torah?

Gen 4:10-11
10 He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.
11 “Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Question: The last time God cursed someone is when Adam and Eve sinned. Now Cain is cursed… so does God curse when there is no sin committed?

Gen 4:11 Targum Pseudo-Jonathan
The voice of the bloods of the murder of thy brother which are swallowed up in the sod, crieth before Me from the earth.

Question: The Targum calls this sin, “murder.” But where is murder defined?

Gen 4:13
And Kain said before the Lord, My sins are greater than can be borne. Nevertheless there is power before Thee to absolve and forgive me.

Question: What sins? Murder is only ONE sin. What other sin did Cain commit? Perhaps the offering? What made it a sin? According to what standard?

Gen 5:24
Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

Question: How did Enoch walk with God if there was no Torah supposedly given yet?

Gen 6:5
Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Question: How can man be charged with wickedness before Noah was given his commands? According to what standard did mankind engage, that is accounted as the wickedness that God saw? Where was that standard given to mankind? When?

Gen 6:9
Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

Question: How is Noah righteous before the flood? How is he called righteous before he was given the so-called Noahide laws, yet the rest of mankind is not counted as righteous? By what given standard is Noah thus set apart from the rest of that generation that perished?

Question: How is Noah blameless before the flood? By what standard? And when was that standard given?

Question: Like Enoch, how did Noah walk with God? In what way? By what standard? What did his walk of obedience look like?

Gen 6:21
“As for you, take for yourself some of all food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them.”

Question: Which food is edible, which is not? Is there a food that is NOT edible to contrast the addition of the adjective to food “that is edible?” Where is that standard defined?

Question: What is “food for you” if not defined by Leviticus which states what is “food for you”?

Gen 7:2-3
2 “You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female;
3 also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth.

Question: By what standard are clean animals defined?

Question: By what standard are unclean animals defined?

Gen 8:20
20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

Question: By what Torah does Noah know how to build an altar?

Question: By what Torah does he know what are clean animals?

Question: By what Torah does he know what are clean birds?

Question: By what Torah does he limit the offering of only clean animals? Why does he not offer an unclean animals?

Question: By what Torah does he limit the offering of only clean birds? Why does he not offer an unclean bird? By what teaching or instruction?

Question: According to what teaching or instruction does he offer a BURNT offering?

Question: Why would a man who spent years dedicated to the preservation of animals from the Flood, immediately desire to kill one of each of the clean animals? For such a righteous man, according to what Torah does he take this upon himself?

Gen 8:21
21 The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.

Question: If God calls the pleasing offerings of the altar sacrifices by Israel in the wilderness a “soothing aroma,” then how is it that Noah is able to offer up an offering that too is a “soothing aroma” to the LORD, without knowing the Torah’s instructions in how to do so?

According to Encyclopedia Judaica: http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view. … m%20psalms
Adam’s psalms …refer to cosmogony, creation. Psalm 5, Psalm 19, Psalm 24, Psalm 92 (Yalḳut. II. 630) were said to have been written by David, though Adam was worthy to have composed them. http://www.tsel.org/torah/yalkutsh/tehilim.html#A2015

Of particular interest is Psalm 19, if attributed to Adam, says:

Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.

10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

11 Moreover, by them Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great reward.

Question: If, according to Noachide theologies that the Torah was unknown or not given to mankind, then why does the 14th century midrash, Yalkut Shimoni, claim that this Psalm is “worthy to have been composed by Adam” when it speaks of the Torah?

The Torah and its instructions as given to Israel at Mt. Sinai existed, was known, and is given to mankind before Noah even received the commandments from God in Genesis 9.

Next, let’s delve into Rashi, and the various sources he gleans from to prove that there was a “Torah” academy run by Shem, and Eber where the patriarchs took “years” to learn the Torah:

Noach: Bereishis/Genesis, Chapter 07 – Rashi
Excerpts: I.e., that is destined to be “clean” [and permitted] for Israel. We learn [from this] that Noach studied Torah.55

Noach: Bereishis/Genesis, Chapter 07 – Text Notes

Excerpts:

54 The distinction between the “clean” and “unclean” animals was not made until the giving of the Torah!

This is only a rudimentary presentation. There is more yet to come, and this article will be modified with additional examples. With just a few of the questions above, it becomes apparent that holders of Noachide theology have some explaining to do in order to maintain their theology. I welcome the challenge to answer new questions from the Noachide camp, but I am more interested in finding Noachide answers to these questions already asked.

Part 8 – The Day and The Hour (Which No Man Knows)?

Part 1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8

But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, but My Father only.

[Mattithyahu 24:36]

As with any passage, we need to pay careful attention to what is being said as well as what is not being said. As I stated earlier, when facts continue to collaborate with mounting evidence, one does not throw the case out for any single piece of evidence that seems to contradict the mountain of established facts. Since our Elohim has given so many clues, and scripture can not contradict scripture, we can know at the start what this verse is not saying, (and that is, that there is no possible way to even come close to knowing when the Second Coming will occur). Too much has been revealed to the contrary. Yet we know that what is revealed will be understood by some and remain closed to others.

…and none of the wrong shall understand, but those who have insight shall understand.

[Daniel 12:10b]

Matthew 24 involves three separate time frames and verse 36 can be seen in reference to a time frame apart from the Second Coming.

Time Frame # 1: Second Coming

And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Adam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Adam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem.”

[Mattithyahu 24:29-31]

Time Frame #2: The Fig Tree Nation ( Israel Re-Birth) Generation

“And learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. So, you also, when you see all these, know that He is near, at the doors.”

[Mattithyahu 24:32-34]

Time Frame #3: The Passing Away of Heaven and Earth

“The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My words shall by no means pass away. But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, but My Father only.”

[Mattithyahu 24:35-36]

From verse 37 on to the end of the chapter, Y’shua returns to Time Frame #1, concerning His return.

Time Frame #1: Second Coming

“And as the days of Noah, so also shall the coming of the Son of Adam be.”

[Mattithyahu 24:37]

Even if seen as a reference to His return, the phrase, “no man knows the day or the hour” is a Hebrew idiom in direct reference to one particular day. Yom Teruah/The Day of Trumpets (also called “Rosh Hashana”) is the one Feast Day that begins on the 1st day of the month. Since the month is to be determined by the first sighting of the sliver of the new moon, it had to be watched for. If the night was cloudy, the month would not begin until the next night when the moon was sighted. No man knew the day or the hour of Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets. Seen this way, this is a direct reference to the season of His return completely in line with what we have already learned of the Appointed Times and how they prophetically foreshadow His First and Second Coming in the Messianic Age.

“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your master is coming. And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Because of this, be ready too, for the Son of Adam is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.”

[Mattithyahu 24:42]

“But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant shall come on a day when he does not expect it, and at an hour when he does not know,…”

[Mattithyahu 24:48-50]

The righteous and wise watch and are therefore not caught unaware. It is only the evil and foolish who will find Messiah’s return at a day and an hour when they least expect.

…and none of the wrong shall understand, but those who have insight shall understand.

[Daniel 12:10b]

Noah and his family were prepared in his day. Only the wicked and unbelieving were swept away. If even the angel knows when to blow the trumpet (1 Thess. 4:16 ), Y’shua knows when He will return and His Word tells the wise to understand (Daniel 9:23 ) and discern (Luke 12:56 ).

Now, brothers, as to the times and the seasons, you do not need to be written to. For you yourselves know very well that the day of YHWH comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman, and they shall not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

[1 Thessalonians 5:1-5]

The righteous is never shaken, while the wrong shall not dwell in the earth.

[Mishle/Proverbs 10:30]

Messiah does not come as a thief to those who watch, but only to those who are in darkness!

- Signs in the heaven a picture of Rev. 12 right at the start of the 1260 days

- Significant days for the3 ½ years of tribulation’s beginning and ending

Beginning

a. 10th of Abib a day of deliverance

b. 10th of Abib the day of the Lamb (and the anti-Lamb)

Ending

a. 1335 day is first day of Tabernacles

b. Tabernacles is the prophetic “Wedding Day” for Israel to Messiah

- Appointed Times reveal the beginning and ending of this past 2,000 years

- Appointed Times reveal the First and Second Coming of Messiah

The return of our Messiah is at an Appointed Time. We know He will not return before the end of the Tribulation because he told us so when He said, “and immediately after the distress of those days…[Mattithyahu 24:29]. We can also be certain that He will not return after the 1335 day. This is known from understanding the Appointed Times and what they represent. That day is the Great Wedding Day and no bridegroom should ever be late for his own wedding day.

Will He come to us on Yom Teruah/The Feast of Trumpets? Those who say so have a valid position since that is the day in Hebrew idiom of which “no man knows the day or the hour.”

Will He come to us on Yom Kippur/ The Day of Atonement? Those who say so have a valid position since that is the day of the face to face encounter with the Shekinah Glory of YHWH. Moses, on his second appearance, after 40 additional days on the Mount, came down on that day with his face shining from YHWH’s presence and that was the day he was received by the people. It was also the day the High priest, standing for all of Israel (The Bride), would enter the Holy of Holies and be face to face with YHWH.

Will He come to us on Sukkot/Tabernacles? Those who say so, again have a valid position, since that is the Great Wedding Day beginning the 7 day Feast of Feasts, which represent the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, the Millenial Reign!

At His first appearance, Y’shua came and fulfilled the Spring Feasts, but He was physically here before those days. This tells me that He can be here before we begin to celebrate any of the Feasts occurring in the final 45 day period that follows the Tribulation. So here it is: For those who are awake and watching, Y’shua our Messiah will return between September 2nd (the last day of the Tribulation) and October 17th (the 1335 day and Great Wedding Day) in the year 2016!

Remember, then, how you have received, and heard. And watch and repent. If, then, you do not wake up, I shall come upon you as a thief, and you shall not know at all what hour I come upon you.

[Revelation 3:3]

He that bears witness of these matters says, “Yea, I AM coming speedily.” Amen. Yea, come Master Y’shua!

[Revelation 22:20]

And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman clad with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

[Revelation 12:1]

And another sign was seen in the heaven: and see, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads.

[Revelation 12:3]

At precisely 5:58AM on March 2<sup>nd</sup>, 2013, this sign will appear in the Jerusalem sky;

The constellation Virgo [Israel] will appear with the moon under her feet and the constellation Corona Borealis/The Crown over head. Along with this, Serpens [Satan] and Bootes/The Coming One [Messiah] will also be visible.

In Genesis 1:14, we see that the sun, moon and stars were given to us for “signs.” A sign declares a message and an original message was given to us in the creation of the zodiac. The constellations are not for fortune telling. Astrology is strongly condemned in the Scriptures (see Isaiah 47:13-14).That ancient perversion has clouded the far more ancient and true purpose which is prophecy from YHWH Himself about Himself and the plan of redemption for mankind throughout the span of time.

The timing of the combination of these constellations coming together when they do is remarkable in light of what we have covered previously. It comes between the time the sacrifices will begin (February 20, 2013) and when they will be made to cease (March 21, 2013) which will begin the 1260 days. The signs appear in the heaven right before the actual fulfillment of the prophecy of which they speak.

…The appointed times of YHWH, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, My appointed times, are these…

[Wayyiqra/Leviticus 23:2b]

YHWH calls the Feasts given to Israel His. They are His appointed times and each one is a part of the most beautiful love story ever told. Each Feast is a stage in the redemptive process for the people He calls “The Bride.”

In ancient times, a man would come to a woman’s home on a full moon. Greeted by her father, he would ask for her hand in marriage. The father would ask his daughter if she wanted to marry this man. If she consented, the young Bridegroom would pay the bridal price (called the “Mohar”). This payment would do two things. First, it was the price to set her free from her father’s house. Second, it made her the Bride. Then, the man would go back to his father’s house and prepare a place for his Bride. During the time they were apart, a trusted friend would be the go between for any communications. This trusted friend would also come to the Bride at an appointed time with a group of gifts (the Katan) as a sealing of the agreement and as a pledge of things to come in her new life with the Bridegroom.

Then, again on a full moon, the wedding day would finally come. The Bride would stand waiting under a canopy (the Chuppah) and as the Bridegroom made his procession towards her, a man would go before him blowing a ram’s horn and saying, “Make way for the Bridegroom is coming!” Then, with face unveiled, the Bride and Bridegroom would behold one another face to face for the first time since their betrothal. A 7 day wedding celebration would follow.

On Passover, on a full moon, our Bridegroom came and paid the Mohar. With His own blood, He purchased us! We are set free from our father’s house. (Satan and the sin of this world have no hold on us anymore)! His blood makes us the Bride, (even when we don’t feel like it or act like it)!

…knowing that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Messiah, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes…

[1Kepha/Peter 1:18-20]

He has gone back to His Father’s house to prepare a place for us.

“In My Father’s house are many staying places. And if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

[Yochanan/John 14:2-3a]

“And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give another Helper, to stay with you forever – the Spirit of Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you.”

[Yochanan/John 14:16-17]

During our time of separation, the trusted friend has been sent. At an appointed time, at Shavuot/Pentecost, He came with the Katan, the gifts of the Spirit.

…who also sealed us, and gave the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

[2 Corinthians 1:22]

The Bridegroom is coming! The wedding day is upon us! At the appointed time, the ram’s horn will sound (Rosh Hashana/Feast of Trumpets) and the Bridegroom will be here! We will see Him face to face (Yom Kippur) and on a full moon (Tabernacles), we will begin a 7 day celebration, the marriage supper of the Lamb, as we enter into the Millennial Reign.

As I mentioned earlier in Part 1, the 6,000 years of man were broken down in three divisions by ancient rabbinical commentary. This past “2,000 years of Messiah,” as you can see, is blueprinted in the appointed times, the Feasts of YHWH. Each feast is a stage in the redemption process for mankind.

Spring Rains

The Beginning of the Age: Betrothal Stage

- Passover is His Death, our Salvation by the blood of the Lamb

- Unleavened Bread is His Burial, our Sanctification (cleansing from leaven/sin)

- First Fruits is His Resurrection, our being made a new creation

- Shavuot/Pentecost is the gift of His Torah and His Spirit in our hearts

4 months of dry summer (40 Jubilees, 2,000 years)

Autumn Rains

The End of the Age: Marriage/Consummation Stage

- Trumpets is the call … “Make Way! The Bridegroom is Coming!”

- Atonement is the face to face encounter with the Bridegroom

- Tabernacles is the Great Wedding Day!

Messiah literally brought fulfillment to the Spring Feasts. He is always on time with His calendar. What he did in the Spring, He will do in the Fall. The appointed times are just that…Appointed Times! With this knowledge, we return to Daniel’s prophecy of the 1,335 days.

And from the time that which is continual is taken away, and the abomination that lays waste is set up, is one thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he who is waiting earnestly, and comes to the one thousand and three hundred and thirty-five days.

[Daniel 12:11-12]

The Blessed Day is the Great Wedding Day! Tishri 15th, the first day of Sukkot will fall on October 17th in the year 2016. Calculating backward a total of 1,305 days brings us to March 21st, 2013 as the starting point of the 1260 days, the day when the sacrifices will be stopped and the abomination that lays waste is set in place. If calculations are correct, that day would also be a significant one on the prophetic calendar. March 21st in 2013 is also the 10th of Abib.

The 10th of Abib is a day of the lamb and a day of deliverance:

- the day of the lamb’s inspection

- the day the Jordan dried for Israel to cross in Joshua’s time

- the day Y’shua rode into Jerusalem and was praised by the people

It is no wonder that the “lamb with horns” (see Revelation 13:11) would also have this day to erect his image and demand praise from the people. This is the day deliverance will be provided for us.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

[Revelation 12:6]

And pray that your flight does not take place in Winter or on the Sabbath.

[Mattithyahu 24:20]

March 21st in 2013 is the first day of Spring and it will not be a Sabbath. The 1260 days will end on September 2nd, 2016, exactly 45 days from October 17th, the first day of Sukkot, which prophetically marks the great Wedding Day, the Blessed Day!

And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Adam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Adam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

[Mattithyahu 24:29-31]

An annular solar eclipse will occur on September 1st, 2016.

A penumbral lunar eclipse will occur on September 16th, 2016.

And in the interim between the end of the tribulation and the 1335 day will come

- Rosh Hashana/Yom Teruah/the Day of Trumpets on October 3rd

- Yom Kippur (the 120th Jubilee) on October 12th

- The Great Day of Sukkot (the 1335 day) on October 17th

Without knowing how, because it is yet to be and no man knows, we know enough to this; that in the very same way that the Appointed Times of the Spring Feasts were brought to their literal fulfillment at Messiah’s first coming, so to will the Appointed Times of the Fall Feasts be brought to their literal fulfillment at Messiah’s return.

The following is a chart showing the various divisions of Daniels prophecy in Chapter 9 and how they lay out for us in our time.

Part 5 – Confirming the Covenant and a Counting of Days

Part 1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8

Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand , that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even unto the consummation and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

[Daniel 9:24-27]

This portion from Daniel is one of the most misunderstood portions in all of Scripture. What I have to present here goes against the grain of the general understanding that Daniel’s 70th week is yet to occur (a supposed 7 year tribulation to precede the return of Moshiach). Many who hold to this belief also adhere to the notion that a great number of believers will be “raptured away” before the final 7 years begins. Two words in this above portion unlock the mystery; the word for confirm and the word for in the midst. But, before all of that, understand that this prophecy contains both the first and second appearance of Moshiach. This is known because of the dual meaning of the word for weeks, the word shavua, which was previously covered in Part 2.

Seventy weeks is seventy 7 year periods (490 years). [Nehemiah Chapter 2 gives the account of the rebuilding of the temple…the starting of the count being the year 444BCE].

Seventy weeks is 70 years.

It is also thought that Seventy weeks is literally seventy weeks, which was possibly the length of Y’shua’s earth ministry. (Discussion for this is outside the scope of this teaching).

The traditional view is that only 69 weeks (483 years) have passed and the 70th week begins with the anti-Messiah making a covenant for 7 years. But, the prophecy does not say that the covenant will last for 7 years. Instead, it tells us that it will take 7 years to confirm that covenant (and not necessarily a consecutive 7 years, but one split up at some point in time for the total 7 years to occur at two different times in history).

And what is The Covenant ? This is not a covenant, but The Covenant; the very Covenant that HaShem has made with His people and the only Covenant spoken of in the book of Daniel.

And I prayed unto YHWH my Elohim, and made my confession, and said, O YHWH, the great and dreadful Elohim, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments.

[Daniel 9:4]

Daniel 9:27 tells us “he will confirm the covenant”. The word for confirm is the Hebrew word higber, which means to strengthen, NOT create. The word for create or make is not even used in Daniel chapter 9. So, whoever the “he” is, he will strengthen the already existing covenant with HaShem’s people. There is a difference between making and strengthening a covenant.

If the “he” is the anti-messiah here, how and why would he strengthen HaShem’s covenant with Israel? And how would the anti-Messiah be strengthening a covenant for 7 years if in the midst of it, he breaks it?

Strengthening The Covenant is something that the true Moshiach would do. So, how does Moshiach begin to strengthen the covenant with Israel? By bringing us back to Torah obedience! Our part of The Covenant is to love and obey!

And by this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and follow His Commandments. For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His Commandments: and His Commandments are not burdensome.

[1 John 5:2-3]

HaShem wants to strengthen the covenant by calling us back to it, and getting us to obey it! Strengthening of the covenant takes place for a total of one 7 starting with Y’shua’s ministry on earth (whether 70 weeks or 3 ½ years long). Y’shua’s earth walk was the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week. That week was split in the midst. The phrase in the midst is the word chatzi which means dividing in two or to make separate and not necessarily in equal portions. It is critical that we understand that verse 26 of Daniel 9 is an overview containing a time frame of 2,000 years. Verse 27 picks up with the beginning of Moshiach’s earth ministry. The “he” in 9:27a is the true Moshiach, but the “he” in 9:27b cannot be Moshiach, but is referring to the anti-Moshiach….”the one who makes desolate.”

In our time, we are seeing a massive return to Torah. It is a strengthening of The Covenant once again. This Torah awakening among HaShem’s people is an unprecedented event in the entire history of the world. Moshiach is finishing his work among His people in our day! The 7 years of strengthening The Covenant began with Moshiach’s earth walk, then was split somewhere in the middle when His earth walk was completed, and He is finishing that work among His people now! Daniel’s 70th week began 2,000 years ago, was suspended when it was split in the midst and is now being completed before the second coming!

Many things in prophecy have been sealed from understanding until the proper time for it to unfold. The idea that the anti-Moshiach is the one who makes a 7 year treaty is throwing a whole lot of people off from understanding the nearness of Moshiach’s return. In Matt. 24:15-20, Moshiach tells us to “FLEE….” yet He makes no mention of the making of a 7 year covenant. How could there be a peace treaty 3 ½ years prior to the 1260 days? There would be no surprise and a need to “FLEE” suddenly if it was based on an obvious 7 year treaty.

It is now believed by many that the 1260 days, or 3 ½ years of tribulation will begin on March 21st, 2013. This is based on an extrapolation backwards from September 1st, 2016, a day of a darkened sun due to a solar eclipse and a day of no moon. This will be the true date that begins the seventh month of Tishri, not reckoned by the Hillel 2 calendar of Judaism calculations today. That calendar has been the standard for all of Judaism for centuries, but is admittedly not perfect. This, I believe only helps to serve in keeping the day of Moshiach’s return a day of mystery. Yom Teruah/Rosh HaShana is referred to as the “day which no man know the hour or the day.” Is it possible that Y’shua was actually telling us the very day of His return when He used this Hebrew idiom?

To recap some things previously covered:

The 70 weeks are 70 shavua’s which can be 70 years. Dan. 9:25 speaks of a decree that begins the count. November 29th, 1947 the United Nations gave a decree for the rebuilding of Israel. 70 years from 1947 is 2017.

1967 was the year of the 6 day war; a great victory and a jubilee for Israel. 50 years from 1967, (the next jubilee) will also be 2017.

Both the 70 years and the 50 years end in 2017. Leviticus 25:9-10 tells us that the jubilee year begins with the blowing of the shofar on Yom Kippur. The final and greatest of all jubilees will be the establishing of Moshiach’s kingdom upon the earth. That year begins on Yom Kippur in the fall of 2016.

There will be no 7 year treaty…NO warning 3 ½ years earlier! We are told to FLEE when we see the abomination. So, what is the abomination that causes desolation?

…How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden underfoot?

[Daniel 8:13b]

The abomination that causes desolation = rebellion against HaShem

Rebellion = a willful turning away from HaShem’s ways!

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

[2 Thes. 2:3]

The phrase a falling away is apostasin used only here and Acts 21:21 in the English word forsake in reference to the Torah.

Apostasin = Falling Away = to Forsake Torah = Rebellion against HaShem

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven: and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself, even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And a host given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced and prospered.

[Daniel 8:10-12]

From this we see the host of heaven are the believers and that the anti-Moshiach will come against them. And what is the daily sacrifice and His sanctuary? The daily sacrifice is our praise and prayers (Rom. 12:1, Heb. 13:15) and we are His sanctuary (1 Cor.3:16, 6:19, 2 Cor. 6:16, Rev. 1:20).

So, we see that worship of HaShem will be stopped (or that is, outlawed by the anti-Moshiach)!

…he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

[Daniel 11:30b]

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Elohim, and have the testimony of Y’shua haMoshiach.

[Rev. 12:17]

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Y’shua.

[Rev.14:12]

…and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

[Daniel 11:31]

The sanctuary of strength = believers

The daily sacrifice = praise & worship to HaShem

The abomination that makes desolate = the beginning of the persecution that will cause rebellion (a falling away from Torah)

Desolation will come when the remnant will FLEE from the city. In fact, many have been hearing the call for the past decade to move out of cities everywhere. There is a movement of strategic relocation happening among believers today in preparation of the coming tribulation.

“Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation” is only 3 Hebrew words.

Natenu = to give, put, set

shiqqutz = abomination

meshimen = to be desolate, appalled

The setting up of the abomination IS the persecution of believers, and we are to FLEE and not look back.

MUSLIM END TIME PROPHECY

Muslims believe in a “prophecy” that Aisa (Y’shua) will come and create the army for the Mahdi to conquer the infidels (everyone who opposes Islam).

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their Elohim shall be strong and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to pourge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

[Daniel 11:32-35]

Rev. 12:6, 13-17 shows that those who strive to keep the covenant today will be taken and kept safe. They are a different group from the persecuted.

If Y’shua’s ministry was in fact only 70 weeks, it is interesting to note that the remainder of 7 years would have begun January 22nd, 2011. (This is based upon an extrapolation from September 1st, 2016, a day of a darkened sun due to a solar eclipse and a day of no moon, as prophecied in Matt. 24:29). This very well may have been when the confirming of the covenant resumed. Matt. 24:6, Luke 21:9 speak of birth pangs preceding the tribulation. 3 days after that date was January 25th,20121, the day of the uprising that took place in Egypt. Could this have possibly been the resuming of the 70th week, the rest of the 7 years to strengthen the covenant?

For more on everything I have covered thus far in this Part 5, I highly recommend the teaching ministry at www.testeverything.net where you can view a remarkable series of videos on end time prophecy.

Let’s recap once again some confirming witnesses.

- Ancient times showing things yet to come (IS 46:9-10)

- Shavua as years gives a 70 year timeline

- 1947 decree went forth to rebuild and restore

- 70 year count is up in 2017

1947[______________________70 yrs________________________________]2017

- Creation week is a blueprint for the 6,000 years time of man

- 120 Jubilees equal to 6,000 years

- 1967 determined a Jubilee by calculating backwards

- 2017 is the 120th Jubilee calculating forward, and it will begin in the fall of 2016 on the day of Yom Kippur that precedes it.

- Fig Tree budding marks us as the final generation

Consider the profound similarities of the following chart;

………………………………………………………1947AD[_____70 yrs___]2017AD

…………………………………….70AD[____________1947yrs__________]2017AD ……………………………….Temple destroyed

……….1947BC[_____2017 yrs__]70AD

Abraham Born

Adam[_____50 Jubilees________]Exodus[_____________70 Jubilees_______]2017AD

Returning to the book of Daniel, we see another counting of days. These are literal days and not years and match up with what we know from Revelation concerning the second half of the 7 years of tribulation.

And from the time that which is continual is taken away, and the abomination that lays waste is set up, is one thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he who is waiting earnestly, and comes to the one thousand and three hundred and thirty-five days.

[Daniel 12:11-12]

And I shall give unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophecy one thousand two hundred and sixty days….

[Revelation 11:3a]

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

[Revelation 12:6]

We are given three sets of time lengths in these above verses. 1260 days is exactly 3 1/2 years. This is the time of tribulation that precedes the Second Coming.

A Pashat (Literal) Scenario:

30 days prior to the tribulation, sacrifices could be reinstated in Jerusalem. Imagine the world-wide protest from animal activists if the newly formed priesthood of the ultra-orthodox is finally allowed to begin the daily sacrifices. That newly formed priesthood would not need to have the Temple in place to begin the morning and evening sacrifices. All they would need is an altar while construction for the actual Temple is underway or in the planning stages. Then, one month later, to the relief of the masses world-wide, the anti-messiah stops the sacrifices and erects the abomination of desolation. This will usher in the great tribulation for the next 1260 days. At the end of the 1260 days (3 ½ years), there will be a period of 45 days to follow. Those who live to see that 1335th day are called “blessed” by the prophet Daniel. What is so significant about that 1335th day?

[___30 days__][___________________1260 days_________________][___45 days___]

[________________________________1290 days_________________][__45 days___]

[_______________________________1335 days_______________________________]

2013AD……………………………………………………………………………2016AD

The annual Feasts hold the key to this understanding. What they prophetically represent unfolds the mystery.
